Childhood Obesity and
Liposuction Are Not a Good Mix, ASPS Cautions
"In light of recent media coverage on

inappropriate procedures for weight loss. In fact, a recent editorial in Plastic

supporting the use of body contouring procedures to fight childhood obesity.
"The teenage years can be extremely tough for kids who are teased about their
weight; however, liposuction and tummy tucks are not the answer," said ASPS
President Roxanne Guy, MD. "My message to young kids -- proper diet and exercise
are still the best ways to slim down."

Study shows how wrinkle-filler Restylane works
"The study is the first to discover that one of the fillers—known by the

make collagen, in a way that causes the skin to create new collagen. This new,
natural collagen then would contribute to the reduction of the appearance of
creases and wrinkles. The study also shows that the product seems to inhibit the
breakdown of existing collagen."
