Skin Care Line Debuts at Sephora and Sephora.com this March

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 29, 2005 -Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX) announced today that its Kinerase® brand of skin care products - previously only available through dermatologists, plastic surgeons and high-end spas - will be available directly to consumers through beauty retailer Sephora's 97 stores and on Sephora.com

Kinerase Cream, Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream and Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment have been chosen by Sephora for coveted placement in their prestige "Skin Solutions" section in store; while the entire product line will be available on Sephora.com

Kinerase will celebrate the launch of the product line in Sephora stores on Tuesday, April 12, where Valeant will invite its recently announced spokesperson, Courteney Cox to be available at its 5th Avenue location in New York. Ms. Cox will be present to support Kinerase and discuss why she is so proud to be endorsing the line. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the Kinerase line first hand and obtain a personal skin care analysis.

Kinerase Cream, which was introduced in 2002, is one of the leading dermatologist-recommended moisturizers in the United States, Canada and Europe.
