Red Rainforest Enterprises Launches First Product Zeradan(TM) designed to soothe, smooth, and flatten scars

This patented formulation is a liquid that dries quickly to form a nearly-invisible protective film. There are thousands of Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons nationwide using it after surgery, after injuries and on old scars as well

GREENSBORO, N.C., April 5-- Greensboro, NC-based Red Rainforest Enterprises Inc. announces today the release of the company’s first product line, Zeradan(TM), a scar ointment cream formulated with silicone, natural ingredients and botanical extracts to soothe, smooth and flatten scars effectively.

Zeradan(TM) is a topical cream that is designed to flatten and diminish scars resulting from surgery, minor burns, and accidents. But unlike most over-the-counter scar creams, Zeradan(TM) uses silicone to accelerate the healing process, lessen redness surrounding the scar and maintain the skin’s moisture balance.

The Research & Development team, which was comprised of two Stanford medical doctors, a distinguished chemist/formulator, and North Carolina businessman Mark Bloomquist, developed the idea of Zeradan(TM). The R&D team physicians, both from Palo Alto, CA, saw the need for a product like Zeradan(TM) in their practices. They wanted a product that was affordable, too.

"After surgery, patients want to begin the healing process as soon as possible. Applying Zeradan(TM) to the scarred area helps this process along while protecting the skin in and around the scarred area," states the R&D medical team’s summary of key findings of their evaluation studies.

"Zeradan(TM) is effective on nearly all types of scars. Zeradan(TM) is designed to reduce scar size caused by surgery, injury or burns. The product is also safe to use on children," added Dr. Art Barnett Jr., RRE’s chief formulator.

"Silicone has been used for years in burn centers and by plastic surgeons to treat hypertrophic scars. Additionally, botanical extracts have been used for centuries for similar purposes. So we developed Zeradan(TM) to take advantage of the benefits of modern science as well as traditional botanical therapeutics," added Mark Bloomquist, Vice-President and National Sales Manager. "Our clinical studies indicate optimum improvements when Zeradan(TM) is applied early in the healing process, after open wounds have closed. Best results occur when used up to three times daily for 3-6 months."

The Research & Development team spent over two years formulating and testing Zeradan(TM), and selecting the right ingredients to create an effective scar cream. The founding partners decided to design Zeradan(TM) as a combination of botanical extracts and silicone, without potentially damaging steroids. They wanted to get the benefits of both treatments in a single combination cream. Results have been amazing. The company reports that Zeradan(TM) flattens scars and takes the color out of them more quickly than would otherwise occur.

Zeradan(TM) is an over-the-counter topical cream that will initially be available only from selected physicians and on line at:
