Chicago (September 15, 2004) – The top requested cosmetic surgical procedure will be the topic of discussion as cosmetic surgeons gather from around the globe for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s 2004 World Congress on Liposuction Surgery. From October 1 – 3, 2004, the Ritz Carlton St. Louis, in St. Louis, Missouri, will host hundreds of physicians as they analyze, share and debate the latest developments in cosmetic surgery.

Since it was first performed in Italy thirty years ago, liposuction quickly spread around the world and demand continues today. AACS statistics show that liposuction is the most requested cosmetic surgical procedure and attracts new patients at a growing rate.

AACS is proud to welcome one of the inventors of liposuction and President of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Giorgio Fischer, MD, who will share his experiences from the past thirty years in a featured presentation.
